Abstract 2344: Federated image quality assessment of prostate MRI scans in a multi-institutional setting
March 22, 2024
In a multi-institutional study, researchers performed a federated image quality assessment of prostate MRI scans to identify and address variations in image quality across different institutions. This approach enabled the detection of outliers and inconsistencies without sharing sensitive patient data, thereby preserving privacy. The findings highlight the importance of standardized imaging protocols and quality control in developing robust machine learning models for prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment planning.
