Rhino Health has partnered with the pancreatic cancer working group of the National Cancer Institute’s Early Detection Research Network (EDRN) to enhance cross-institutional collaboration for pancreatic cancer detection. By employing federated learning, the initiative allows AI models to be trained on multi-modal data—including CT scans and laboratory results—across multiple institutions without the need to share sensitive patient information. This approach aims to accelerate the diagnosis of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), enabling earlier detection and more precise treatment strategies. Participating institutions include Johns Hopkins Medicine, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
